Background
A media group creating women’s lifestyle content in the cooking and crafting niches, Prime Publishing worked with LiveIntent to generate ad revenue from their daily newsletters.
Goal
Prime Publishing wanted to generate leads and increase subscriptions, ensuring they could continue to offer their advertising partners the ability to scale campaigns while still reaching engaged audiences across their 35+ cooking and crafting properties. To do so, Prime Publishing set up a campaign to drive prospective readers to an email signup page.
Solution
With the help of their LiveIntent account team, they set out to build a custom People-Based Audience that would be responsive to its collection of daily cooking and crafting newsletters. They began with a custom audience built from its customer list to exclude people who were already subscribed to their newsletters. This approach ensured their media budget went towards engaging new subscribers.
Results
By focusing on people interested in cooking or crafting and driving to a landing page that made it easy to subscribe to their newsletter, Prime Publishing was able to acquire 60K new subscribers from the campaign. The post-campaign analysis also revealed that the subscribers acquired via email ads with LiveIntent were 56% more engaged with Prime Publishing’s newsletters than subscribers acquired through other channels.
